TENDER FOR SCIENTIFIC EQUIPMENTS

Sealed Tenders are invited under Two Bid Systems (Part I- TECHNO-COMMERCIAL BID & Part II – PRICE BID) from reputed Equipment Manufacturers / Indian Authorized Agents of Foreign Suppliers for the supply of Scientific Equipments.

For the list of equipments and details as mentioned in Tender Documents please visit NML website at www.nmlindia.org. The Tender Documents can be downloaded from the website free of cost. The Tender Document can also be obtained on payment for Rs.300/- by way of DD drawn in favour of “The Director, NML” payable at Jamshedpur. Tenders submitted as per the terms & conditions mentioned in Tender Document only will be accepted. In case tender document is downloaded from NML site directly by vendor, no tender document fee is chargeable.

Specification of reagent bottles:

Glass : Borosilicate

Neck : GL 45

Capacity : 50ml

Bottle ID : 50mm + 1.0mm

Bottle OD : 51mm + 1.0mm

Bottle height : 92mm + 1.00mm

Bottle Thickness : 2 to 2.5mm

Glass should be free from magnesia, zinc and lime group.

NB: (i) Quality of Glasses should be certified by the authorised Laboratory.

Specification of Carton Box.

Paper tube Box for 50ml bottle.

Must be coloured paper of 80-100 GSM with lamination and machine pasting.

Top and bottom lid must be sealed with tin.

Lid must be coated with Chrome/Nickel to prevent corrosion.

Bottom box must be made of 200 + 1GSM paper tube sheet and top box must be made of 90 GSM paper tube sheet.

Inner diameter of box = approx to 53 mm

Outer diameter of box = approx to 59 mm

Total length of the box = approx 100mm

(NB: The bottle should be tightly fitted inside the carton.)

Note:

i) Please submit the sample of Reagent Bottle and Carton Box along with the offer

ii) Name and address of the manufacturer along with name of the contact Person and mobile number/Phone number must be mentioned in the offer.

iii) In case awarded firm fails to supply the material as per specification, delivery schedule and terms & conditions of the order and tender document after two reminders or extensions of delivery date (maximum 2 times) then they may be banned for doing business transaction with NML for the period as specified by the Purchase Committee and final decision taken by the Director, NML, Jamshedpur.

iv) Payment terms will be as per clause No. 2 as mentioned in the enclosed sheet of terms & conditions. Payment will be made after complete execution of order and acceptance certificate provided by the user scientist.

PART-I: Technical Bid giving detailed specifications.

PART-II: Price Bid giving full prices in Indian Currency on Foreign Currency.

2. E.M.D.(Earnest Money Deposit): Vendors must submit an EMD of ` 40,000/- alongwith their Bids in the form of Demand Draft/ Bank Guarantee of any scheduled Indian Bank drawn in favour of Director, National Metallurgical Laboratory, Jamshedpur Bids without EMD will not be valid or considered. EMD of unsuccessful bidders will be returned within 3 months of Price opening. However firms registered permanently with DGS&D and NSIC who are exempted from payment of EMD will be allowed exemption subject to production of documentary evidence to this effect. EMD must be submitted in the sealed cover containing Technical Bid (Part – I).

3. Payment 100% against complete delivery and installation of equipment subject to submission of Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) of 10% of order value valid up to two months beyond the Currency of the Warranty Period.
